From legendary bands: Oasis/Abba/The Beatles; to pop icons Adele/Taylor Swift/Ed Sheeran/Michael Jackson, & more classical and cinematic pieces by composers such as Hans Zimmer, Holst, Bocelli and Einaudi. These arrangments are toured weekly across the UK for the candlelit concerts, Lumos Live.
A highlight of Eleanor's career was the commission for the Illuminated River Foundation to compose and record new music to celebrate the longest public art commission in the world. Estimated to have been seen by over 200 million people each year. On the day of the launch, the Guildhall String Quartet played a live version by the Thames riverside.
Another highlight was orchestrating well-known drum and bass tracks for RAM Records 30th Anniversary (and UKF); which ended with a special performance from superstar singer, Becky Hill (Afterglow). Eleanor can also be seen conducting in the promotional video!
In her free time, Eleanor loves trekking around the country with her state-of-the-art recording gear, venturing into the most unusual and peculiar locations to capture the sounds of remote industrial areas and coastal caves. Many of these sounds form the basis of her electronic tracks and can be used for all things sound design.
Eleanor has also been commissioned to create promotional content for brands such as: ProCreate, London International Animation Festival, RAM Records, UK Research and Innovation and more recently, Spitfire Audio.

Using a session orchestra and manipulating the voices of men and woman who built, maintained and operated Tower Bridge, Eleanor Fineston-Robertson created an impressive underscore and sound-design for City of London's Tower Bridge's 125th anniversary celebration. This was truly a remarkable and unmissable event. Peter Bennett, wrote ‘the post event exercise up the 100 stairs only helped to warmup the naturally chilled surroundings!’
Eleanor Fineston-Robertson created three scored soundtracks to the 'Ludwig' Animated series for live performance, with the original animator Peter Lang in the audience and Jon Glover, as before, narrating live to the orchestra. A moment from history brought back to life. Commissioned by the Barbican Centre, sponsored by DHL, for the Beethoven Weekender event, ‘the music fitted beautifully with the action and showed real empathy and understanding for what we originally tried to achieve. I am still smiling.’ - Peter Lang, original animator.
